Awesome sauce, like something from BTTF:2's 2015!!

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Heck, hadn't  thought about BTTF2!

BTTF2 + Grant Morrisson's "Invisibles" + some more outrageous 80s fashion + a dash of 90s Modern Primitives is what I'll be looking for if I go ahead with this!

Do a goggle search for images of 80's glam and hair metal.
Bands such as Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt... And eternals like Kiss, of course!
And not only glam bands. Heavy metal ones sported seriously kitsch looks during the eighties: the first years of Iron Maiden, Helloween or Manowar are a gold mine for over-the-top metalness.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm extremely alergic to Glam & Hair Metal...

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone!

Pimp my gang!

That same expression occurred to me when I looked at the finished miniature... Having bought a full gang deal a couple of years ago, what if I'd paint a full gang in "outrageous" pimped style?

Painting every model as an individual the whole thing might end up being a sort of mish-mash and lack gang unity but, like "real life" gang members (who don't exactly wear uniforms but have a few distinguishing signs to show their allegiance) they do have some points in common (bald heads, trenchcoats, boots, bat necklaces). So, it is theoretically possible. But creating 25 different visuals, maintaining some logic and coherency, avoid repetition and not go "shocking for shocking's sake" might turn out to be a creatively daunting task.

Your thoughts on the subject, ladies & gentlemen?

Thanks!

It started with an idea to test a metallic combination that would simulate iridescense (applied on the trenchcoat) and ended with a nod to Grant Morrison's "The Invisibles".

Sat on the shelf for a couple of years. Finally gave it some attention yesterday.

Impressive and I have to say that a few paintinbg tips would be most welcome!

Regardin the modifications: pointed ears, repositioned axe and what else...?

Missed the Kickstarter but am not going to miss the "extra time"... Especially now that doors in pledges can be exchanged for 'Gold'! :-D

Hmmm...
Is it adaptable to sci-fi/futuristic/contemporaneous gang warfare (or are there any plans for that)?
Does it allow for gang/warband improvements?

Cheers Connexion! Was quicker than expected to funding :P 23 days remaining, so wil have plenty of new Stretch Goals sculpts to show off before we are done ;)

Like I said, I'll wait until the very end. Nevertheless, after looking at my "shopping list" I notice that I would need 2 "Bags of Gold" (or more!) and the Tier freebies only apply to the "Critter", "Dweller", etc levels which is a shame. :-/

OK, pardon me for being a thicko, but are minis cast from the contents of the winners mould going to be available to those of us who did not enter the contest? The great unwashed masses, innocently wishing to part with our cash, as in previous years of the contest?
I hope they are because that The'Rule mini kicks ass.

28 days to go and more than funded, congratulations!

There are certainly a few bits and bobs I'm interested in but will wait for the final days before committing. The wizard furniture & books I already have some ideas for their use but may add a couple more things when pledging to build a custom Blood Bowl pitch or dugout... In any case, I suppose that all this stuff will be available from the Zealot web shop after the crowdfund?

P.S. - Any reason to not have the link posted here?

Far from me to "compete" in the DOD2014 but I may be posting a few vignettes from time to time. Here's something I just finished:

One of Heresy's saucy succubi plus Hasslefree's Elvis on a Fenris base. :-P

(Why, oh, why is there not a forum to post stuff combining material from all 3 FoD manufacturers...? :-/ )

3D printed and resin cast? Might take the bait as I have been meaning to do a small diorama for years but cant find the time to build books and some furniture from scratch...

If you order it right NOW I might be able to sort it out before things become too chaotic in here. And I say this as someone sharing a swivel chair with 5 plastic box lids.
Thanks, Andy but no hurry at the moment. :-)
