Eye Candy / Re: Kev's "Forgotten Miniatures"

The funny thing is I thought that there was far more votes for the Fantasy types (the ogre and male version of Luna in particular)

Eye Candy / Kev's "Forgotten Miniatures"
« on: November 01, 2014, 11:16:34 AM »
It may be that I am the only person in the world not on Facebook - but just in case.

Kev put up an album on Facebook with unfinished WIPs and has suggested that the ones that get the most "likes" may get finished.

I don't know if any of the HF command ever look in here any more but I thought some other non Facebookers might be interested and like to comment.

Link to album -

My interests are mainly Sci-Fi/near future so my favourites for finishing would be -

McKenzie with M27 IAR
Chick running with MP5 (especialy if finished figure is a Sci-Fi armoured type - swap the MP5 for a HK G36 or KWS)
Some bloke in powered armour

New finished modern adventurer being shown on Facebook

Excuse posting link have picture problems - should be visible even if you are not a Facebook user.

Rather like this one - as someone has commented good feel of movement. Hope Kev will do some more "military Sci fi" types with this kind of active pose. Perhaps this figure with some armour and a KWS held across chest with the left hand and gesturing with her right in the direction she is looking.

I like the "Tropper" and the Striker is OK as well.

Not quite sure I understand the purpose of the armoured loin cloths on the heavier armoured ones!

That is really nice

I see that on Frothers she is described as "Modern Trooper Female #1" so (and I hope I am not interpreting that to literally) that there will be more to follow.

If more are already planned will they be variants of this figure (like the male Modern Troopers) completely new models?

The release of these two chaps seem to have passed me by until today.

I would quite like to see a security detail to go with them - same basic uniform and insignia but carrying rifles and with light equipment (perhaps just a waist belt with a couple of magazine pouches and a radio) and possibly a holstered pistol, could be wearing comms headsets instead of carrying a radio. The only change to the uniform would be that they are wearing boots with trousers tucked in. Headgear could be a possibility as well - perhaps something different like a fur hat or police style cap rather than a baseball cap (not a helmet though).

Ideally (for me) figures (2 male 2 female) in fairly relaxed walking poses.

Can the cast on bases be removed? Looking forward to what Kev will do with these in the future...

Interesting - my preference is to keep the cast on bases as I don't like slotta's (on a games table the figures on slottas look like they are floating above the ground to my mind ) but I guess if the range is to be expanded then they will need to fit in with HF "norms".

 This is great news -

see the seventh post on page 2.

I really hope that the range will be expanded.

I've been on holiday so this may be news only to me - but there are some new pics on Facebook.

New hazmats, Del Torro, more progress with the smart gunner, a male chaos warrior and the start of a new Very dynamic) human female with MP55.

These are very nice - looking forward to seeing how these and the others progress.

Sounds like an excellent plan!

Will one of the head options be a helmet?

In case there is anyone who has not had a look recently there are some updated pictures on Facebook.

If I have read the comments right there will be a couple of head, weapon and back pack variations for the chap with the P90. I think the intention is that there will be a coupe of other figures in the same vein (but I may have misunderstood that!).

Hopefully Kevin or Sally will come along and give us some more info on what is planned.

I see that there are a few WIP pics up on Facebook

I think this is a working link (works for me anyway!) you dont have to be a member of FB to look.!/photo.php?fbid=439449849420631&set=a.263009273731357.67244.205953016103650&type=1&permPage=1

Like the look of the new chap with the P90 (?) wonder what sort of head/helmet is planned for him (and could this be the beginning of a new small "sub range"  --- well I can hope ).

Edit - I see that some close up pics  are on the way as well.

I voted hot pants and vest on the basis that wielding a chainsaw must be hot work

Will she be getting some trendier glasses? or goggles perhaps - sensible girl like that would be worried about H&S!

Thank you - one for the next order I think

But it does reinforce my little paranoia that Hasslefree is becoming elss active on FOD as they move purely to facebook and abandon all the rest of us who don't want to sell our souls to the facebook mind slave trap thing :p.

I am not a fan of Facebook (or most other "social media") but I guess that all companies have to move with the times..........
and you can look at most of the HF facebook stuff without being registered including looking at the pictures - I usually just check out the "feed" on the right of the HF home page and if there is anything interesting click the link there. If I want to comment then I will come here to do so.

PS - so what is HFA084?

This is probably obvious to everyone but what/who is HFA084? I don't remember seeing this mentioned before.

How about "Sherk"?

I like Felicity.

Wonder if that pose would work with a rifle type weapon of some sort supported on her right hip?

No no no. For the full comedic juxtaposition it has to be Felicity with the big gun rather than the rest of the teenage gang. Barney strikes me as a twin pistols guy with matching shoulder Holsters, Wolsey with a shotgun, and Louise with Molotov cocktails or an RPG.

Oh I am quite happy with the big gun - I was just being greedy and wanting another variant as well     (or even as a base for a different character altogether - keep the bottom half and change top to to a leather jacket and a Hayden like face and hairstyle with a pulse rifle or HK G36 on her hip)

Nice figures - will these troopers be single part or multipart like the last ones?

This is probably being a bit tight - but is it possible to use credit and get the bonuses?
