Lol, thanks!  ^_^  I never really completely left, just went into super-lurker/inactive mode.

I spent quite a lot of today going through all my boxes of minis and cursing Past-Me's irritating habit of unboxing things, part-assembling them and then putting small, fiddly bits in an entirely different place (or losing them).   :erm:

2
Yeah, after checking my bank account I've decided to brave the Pantheon level!  :boing:

(I'm justifying it because I haven't bought any minis for aaaaaaages.  Also I'm in the process of setting up a craft room and rediscovering all my mini paints and unpainted mountain that's been in storage while I was travelling and then ill....)

3
The pantheon level is looking seriously tempting!   (Sez she who hasn't painted anything in YONKS, but anyway... :p)

4
Wow, glad I decided to pop in to have a nosy around the forums!  :D  Huge congrats on the funding Andy!   :woohoo:  Shared on FB (fwiw) and going to go peruse the funding options, see what I can afford.  ;)

*emerges briefly from lurk mode*

Ok, so I finally have to ask - where am I on the list?  (RL name Heulwen Price.)  I'm pretty sure I'm near the end, but I'm cool with that - I'm currently backpacking in SE Asia so I couldn't paint a dragon even if I had one!  :p

Also, which email address do have for me?  I have yahoo and gmail, but I pretty much totally ignore the yahoo one these days.   I wouldn't want to miss a dragon-related email though!

You are 165 in the queue, Heulwen - which is currently 111 Dragons' time as there have been a few people who have taken exchanges etc instead of continuing to wait. I have the gmail address on file. Enjoy the trekking!
Hi Boris, thanks for that, much appreciated! :)  Seems I'm much further up the list than I thought (I figured I was somewhere in the 200s), but at least I don't have to explain a large box of dragon bits to my family for a little while yet.  XD

All the best from Vietnam!  :D *goes back to being supportive from the shadows*

I think I'm a very looooong way down the list, but this is thrilling news!   :boing: :woohoo: :boing:

Very jealous of you lucky people that already have yours!  :tantrum:

8
The GW one looks like it would suffer from serious dangle-butt issues if it ever tried to fly.   (And to me it looks like a skinny, scaly rat with a side order of spikes and wings.)

Andy's... doesn't.  :)

9
It all sounds like a right faff and headache, but I'm sure we're all very grateful for the hard work that you guys are putting into this beastie!   :applause:

10
To clarify, the snapping crunching sound was not my balls. I almost wish it had been. I broke the wing tips off on either side, fixable but intensely annoying.
Fortunately the pics I took of the dragon immediately before I broke it came out OK (You can never tell, stupid cameras and their 1 inch screens)

*picture snippery*

Oh WOW!  Come to mummy, you minty-fresh hunk of reptile! :jawdrop:

Hope the damage isn't too bad - after everything you've been through with this thing, it must have been heart-stopping to hear that snap!

I saw the assembled Dragon at hammerhead today.

It is a beauty.

I had to buy some Silks and a Crouchy or two though......

So....

WHERE ARE THE PICS?!  :tantrum:  :whip: :whip:

 :silly

<snip>Trying to think of something unique to give all you generous folk who pay over the 100 (and of course the 200 payers as well)...

Why!??!    For the love of God Andy, don't chuck in more stuff with the dragon, it's only adding to your loss. The dragon is more than enough.  Trust me! Its already unique!!!  If people choose to pay more, then leave it at that. It defeats the object of people trying to help you
This.  ;)

13
The man has spoken!  Some more Shekels sent your way just now.  :D

14
How does one chuck into the "extra for the dragon" hat? Impending unemployment or no I can throw a few more groats at it to try and at least make my 15th position in the queue (Back!! Back you jealous fiends  :D ) worth Andy's while.
I hadn't quite decided a modus operandi, but I figured I'd either email Andy directly or use the part-payment system on the Heresy site and add a note saying what it's for.  Emailing directly might be less fraught with complications though...

15
If you going to make a massive loss on the 100 quid preorders, I going to go dip into my funds and pay what everyone else is paying for it. Still worth every dam pound.
I was thinking the same.  I chucked an extra 50 onto my final payments as a show of goodwill anyway, so it wouldn't be too much hassle to add another 50...

*comes in late to the party*

WOOO!  Gimme a chunk of that scaley goodness!  :jawdrop: :applause: :applause: :applause: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :boing: :boing: :boing:

I paid my first deposit waaaaaaaaay back in the day at Salute 2009, and I've just gone and paid off the last of it now (plus a bit extra because both the Dragon and Andy deserve it).  Happy Christmas indeed! :D

(This might actually be the prod I need to get back into painting again - suddenly I'm itching to grab a brush and get going...)

Yup, double ridges FTW!  Makes him a bit unique, y'know?

OoooOOoOo!  Want, want, want!  :boing:

My only problem with the R dragons is that I don't understand the logic of 2 legs on the small one and 4 on the big one!? What, they grow 2 more legs as they get bigger?  :scratchhead:
It's something that's puzzled many, many people over the years.  I vaguely recall something in the fluff indicating that the dragons were mutated ophidians.  So perhaps they mutate more as they grow up?  Nah, still sounds silly.....

Rackham only produced two dragons, didn't they?  I can't find any pics of the other bugger, but they're both along the same lines and I like how they avoided some of the worn-out 'essential elements'.  The hatchet-snout is distinctive, too.

This is the other one, the Cynwall dragon.

Its a bit more wyvern than the other having less legs, I really like it.

I believe they made a metal one before the resin ones. Bet that weighs a tonne!

Edit: cross posted there!
Where's the ninja smilie?  :)  I just weighed my dragon; he's a hefty 13.7oz (388g), which probably makes him the heaviest mini I own.

Its not actually assembled. I have got over my 'stare at all my lead' phase though and am modelling, so its on the list.

I paid 45 for it at the MK model show here a couple of months ago. Its a huge box (BS pirate for scale) I was a bit taken aback its like the sort of box tanks come in.

The guy had about 9 of them. I recalled Rackham did two dragons, one cheaper than the other. I thought it was the other one so just bought one, still thinking it was a bargain. Then found it was the 199 one.

Don't regret it though, at least I got for me if not one for Ebay.  :D

Heh, fair enough! I'm still terribly jealous, though!  I wonder if the guy's still got any left?  I've seen the box and it's chuffing HUGE!  One of LGSs had one in, but at the full price, then it vanished after they started 30% off old Conf stuff.  Please post yours up once you've painted him - it's such a magnificent model and I'd love to see one that's had some tlc.

Edit:  Here's the other, smaller dragon.  It's more like a wyvern with its lack of front legs and the barb on the end of the tail.  I actually have one of these, it's a really nice model but an absolute sod to put together!  Mine's held together with superglue, epoxy glue, pins and greenstuff.  I really should paint it, but I need to fix it first - I cleverly managed to snap both his claws off while putting him together.  :/

Titan dragon, from Rackham.

I have the Titan dragon and its a lovely model.
:whaaa: 8::: :tears: :blub: :blub: :blub: :blub: :blub:  I am so jealous!  Unfortunately I could never justify the cost of the wretched thing!  200 euros was (and still is) one hell of a lot to pay for a mini, even if it is resin and bigger than I am.  Is your painted?  I've seen so few that are.

Titan dragon, from Rackham.
The Conflict, from Ral Partha.

Ok, that last one is technically two dragons, but they come in the same box so there!

(Neither of those are my paintjobs.  I'd love a titan dragon but I don't have one, and I still haven't got to painting my Conflict dragons.)
