Well you can certainly check on stuff on social media without needing an account to see it, if that helps. But yeah, the convenience of stuff on your phone has meant that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram have become the new forums.
twitter.com/heresy_andy
twitter.com/heresyminis (no non-heresy stuff on that feed)
facebook.com/heresyminiatures
instagram.com/heresyminiatures

I do check in on here whenever I open Chrome, just in case but there are literally only a dozen or so people who still seem to use it, most of you on this thread!

Sure is, not intending to remake the big moulds needed to make the torso, rock and wings. I'd sooner make a comepltely new dragon first! (I am not making one in secret, before anyone assumes that I am! But if i was, it would definitely remain secret until finished and moulded!)

TBH I've had a quick look and couldn't find the bloody directory it's been put in. Will search when I've got time.

BY a miracle, it's still here, because I can still post here. The webhost tech helpfully copied it across and stuck it in a subdomain on the main heresy site, and there's a bit of finessing to do but it still works!

Questions and Answers / Re: Miniature names?
« on: May 23, 2017, 05:50:46 PM »
Yup, both were produced by Spyglass Miniatures when Steve Buddle had his own little business. They were limited edition and were not allowed to be manufactured by me when I bought Steve's range off him after he went to work for GW. I did a variant of the monk that became Brother Bude though: http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_18_74&products_id=277

Not yet, not had a chance. Spent some time on the giant yesterday as it was a bank holiday in the UK, and on one of the wings for the NL2. But will be on him soon, once i've caught up with the backlog of orders accrued during Salute prep.

Base him up and call it finished, then if you see stuff that irks you  later, you can touch him up.

Thanks! I spent the day at home, which is a recent development, most of the last 15 years of birthdays have been spent at work...!

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Re: Tunnel Dweller Options

Hadn't thought of that, was thinking little tentacles, but maybe maggots, yeah! Much to do before I get to play with the idea, though...

I've got plans to do a new version if I can find time next year. I did consider a female alt body as a gribbly variant on a Medusa/Gorgon style monster.

« on: November 30, 2016, 12:49:50 PM »
I mean, I also have stupid big idea-projects, like the plastic skeletons and dungeon parts and stuff, but those are such long-term turnarounds eg a year or more to get the sprues for the plastics from funding, that I need to do a few short-run ones first to build up enough funds to keep me going during the time that I can't run a project due to waiting for plastics to come in.

Kickstarter is the new business model for small indies. You just can't sell anything on general release any more. So yes, I'll be back on it, but armed with knowledge and experience and not having to deal with a dragon first. Aiming to do a couple of small metal figure-based ones that i can turn around quickly - resin casting is too slow for big numbers!

First pic of the new resin Tunnel Dweller with one of it's new head options. I love the antennae although they will be a bit fragile!

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Re: Sharclons
« on: November 18, 2016, 07:11:50 PM »
In the letter they picked out five figures as examples, but the Sharclon weren't on there. However, they do need a new mould, and I wanted to do some new helmet options for them as part of that as I always intended for them to go a different way down the line. Bit more pizazz to them, style of thing. So for the moment, until I get a chance to remake the moulds, they're not available.

PS Glad you like her! Lot of effort went into her, much more than planned! :)

Post this on the Comments thread on Kickstarter as well, please! Helps to reassure others that they will get their miniatures.

I always assumed people would mount it on a photoframe or plinth or an old clock that they could decorate with rocks etc. The rock itself was never really intended to be the ultimate base for the model!

Heresy / Re: Maggotmen and Terror Grub

I didn't realize it at the time, but everything I pledged for was a gribbly thing.  Grubs, maggotmen, mites, lurkers, Madame.  I thought it was quite funny, when I realized it.
I just assumed you'd gone for a theme!

I shouldn't like to transport it around, either, it'd be in bits & pieces with the slightest knock! Great work, as ever, Steve!

When I remember to do so, yes. Facebook and Twitter are so much more convenient etc. But I try to remember to check in. I mainly do all the maintenance/admin stuff

Do some tiger stripes or mystic swirls in a slightly darker or lighter shade as a skin pattern!

Sneak Peeks / Re: Instagram WIP pics
« on: July 17, 2016, 08:50:25 AM »
Back-burner for now. Needs too much work to complete, as it involves making a covered wagon and stuff, and it would cost way more than the 75 I was supposed to be making this giant for. (Even the new one will cost more than that, but it will have less moulds than the sitting one due to lack of cart etc so will at least cost less than that one.)

Yes, that's why i took the chest hair off. If I do that much hair, I've got to do hair everywhere, and then you lose the skin entirely, and it would look awful. Better to paint him hairy if anyone can be bothered.
