Other Mini's, RPGS, Etc / Famous Archeologists/Relic hunter models?

 I'm looking for some models that I can incorporate into some trophies for a tournament.

 I'd like 3 famous archeologists/artefact hunters - I was thinking of the hf not-Lara, an Indiana Jones and ... well, something else? I'm a bit stuck on the third option

 Also looking for something that could be used for the 'Most Sporting' award, possibly something for best painted army and also a model to represent either 'Most fluff-based army' or 'Truest army to the tournament brief'

 Don't necessarily need to be FoD companies - if you could link to any suggestions you have, that would be great...

 I was looking on the net at assorted stuff and saw this game - I have a friend who is looking to get a relatively easy skirmish game with only a handful of models and wondered if anyone had played this one...

 I was just bimbling around t'interwebz looking for a set of sinister circus types and, while you can get assorted individual models - clowns, the occasional strongman, maybe a ringmaster here and there, there isn't a company who produces a complete set

 I was looking along the lines of the Carnival of Chaos for Mordheim, only moreso...

 if there was a sci-fi element to them or even a sci fi and a fantasy line, I reckon it'd rock!

 I'm working on a 'fun' challenge game for our local club in a couple of weeks - however, I'd really like some models that I could use instead of space marine scouts - ideally sort of backwoods hunter types

 If I take a Herald of Khorne for 40k and don't put him on a Jugger, does he go on a 25mm round base?

 Oddly, they are all shown as mounted (thought that would be more the providence of Slaanesh) and I can't take one on a juggernaut for the force list I'm working on

 I'd love to see a three headed hellhound to guard the entrance to the Netherhells - not that this would in any way resemble a hound-based unit attachment for a certain Workshop for Games range  :wink:

 BUT...I reckon that Andy would make a damn good job of a bigger, meaner, triple headed hellhound!

General Ranting / Lest we forget....what?

 Remembrance Day is coming and my significant other and I were talking the other night and she said that when she was at school, around this time, one of her teachers got the class to wrote a letter to veterans asking why they should be remembered...

 My respinse, which bordered on explosive isn't repeatable on here as it's a family site, but it ended somewhere around the volume of an enraged elephant with the word WHAT?

 At first I thought she was joking but she was quite quite serious.

 Having worked in education for 7 years, if I heard a colleague saying that was what they were proposing to do, I'd have had serious concerns...

 I'm utterly disgusted and hope that I never cross paths with that teacher!

 Although it does kind of explain why so few people lately seem to be wearing poppies  :swear:

 I'm wearing mine and will be remembering those who sacrificed so much for my liberty!

 What size bases do Tryanid Prime and Carnifex stand on?

 I have acquired 2 of the old metal Screamer Killers which will be my Carnifex Brood and an old metal Hive Tyrant who will be my Tyranid Prime

 Unfortunately, they didn't come with any bases

 They DID have about a million coats of paint and 5 bottles of superglue on them though!

 I don't know where this idea actually came from, but some humanoid sort of pteradactyl type things, maybe with a spare set of arms for carrying weapons...sci fi or fantasy - I really don't mind...

 I have a picture in my head of the way that the pteradactyls walked in the Walking With Dinosaurs or Jurassic Park 3...

 Something that's suitably different and gnarly!

 You could have some landed, some in flight...

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Sci Fi skellies

 Just pondering - with a certain Necrotic codex due out from a certain Workshop of Games, would people invest in sci fi skellies...some automatic weapons, perhaps...

 A sort of hybrid between the skinless Terminators from the movies and normal skellies...

 At a push, you might even get an Arnie and that Robert Patrick sculpt that /Andy has been working on forever...and if he's especially sneaky, something that would be close to General Grievous...

 Who knows - we might even see some demonic sci fi skellies too!

Ideas for New Heresy Models / Ganger weapons for both hands?

 I was just tinkering with some gangers and Crouchy's chainsword is the same hand as Silk's combat knife...

 Is there any chance we can get

 Chainswords for both hands
 Combat knives for both hands
 Empty hands - both hands
 Perhaps some other weapons you can't get with the ganger models themselves - hands with crowbars, baseball bats, tasers (I'd really like to see these), nightsticks, nunchucks, throwing stars, bananas, some of those weird boomerang shaped knives...

 I know I'd love to be able to do Crouchy, and perhaps other gangers, with a wide variety of weapons!

Random Chat / Heavy Weapons dude?

 I'm putting together some forces for a game. The 'good guys' will be 4 troopers, The Major as a commander and a psyker (Sebastian)

 On t'other side, there will be some gangers...Bane, some noobs, a handful of other gangers but I'm stuck on which heavy weapons chappy to use...

 The gang will be called 'The Lightning Bats'

 Advice and votes are welcomed!

Heresy / Coventry Gaming Forum - 1st place!

 My little forum for Wargaming clubs in Coventry recently held a Heresy painting competition, Mr Foster was the judge and we also had a forum vote.

 I've posted the other entries on here too, but the piece that took first place was....this!

 The lighting has washed out some of the pics, but hopefully you can get an idea of the overall piece
