I'm just getting a new set of figure ready for sale at salute (and from Hasslefree). The dhogu are a race of mountainous fubarnii who I've done as multipart models. Probably a foolish idea to do them so multipart, but I kinda like how they've turned out.
I've been thinking they might actually work quite nicely in a sci fi setting if I could just sort them out with a sprue of gun arms...
A very neat little solution might be to 'borrow' one of kev's guns (with permission, of course), add an arm and get it cast. So, the big question on here is whether it is a good idea, and what would be the best gun for the little guys? I feel they should have long rifles, but I'm not sure there are any options in that style that would work. I'll probably do a single handed grip to begin with rather than trying to get a two-handed grip. It'll also mean the arm will fit on the yirnak rider.
I doubt I'll actually get these done for salute, but possibly we could come up with some sort of pre-order deal if I get them sculpted in time...
I'll send you a free gun-armed infantry trooper if you come up with the idea I eventually implement!

Oh, and here's the Yirnak rider...
