like Inso here most days,  but the sound of the wind whistling, and the tumbleweeds rolling past is fairly prevalent.

looking good, though you did throw me by taking the 1st pic with Tamiya clear blue then spraying green on them   :lmao

Brandlin,  I think it looks good as is, oddly with the twin fans like they are on either side of the body it balances, and the rotor torque will cancel out.  ( though if you want one for your aesthetic vision that's different  )   once you get some paint on it itll pull together much more as well.
but at the moment deffo   :applause:

to be honest I check here most evenings, read anything new that catches my eye, and then make a comment if I think its not dumb, or offensive, and reasonably needed.
I don't do social media,  I find its too much of a background noise, and ive been in a office where some one wasn't paying attention to there job, and answered the phone with " hello facebook"   :tantrum:

though we have lost a lot of stuff under the weeding out old threads rule, I went looking for Lizcams old animated avatars and accompanying music a couple of weeks ago ( I wanted to have a smile at the wonderful silliness of them)  and found that they'd  evaporated  :(.

Books/Comics/Etc / An obscure question
« on: October 18, 2015, 04:35:04 PM »
Im having to ask an obscure question here.
Im certain in the 90s I read a novel ( shadowrun or battletech)  that mentioned  " a little dragon doormat"   an emplaced doormat / claymore mine type explosive device to deter truly unwelcome visitors.
But ill be dammed if I can remember the title of said book / which universe it was from  :scratchhead:   any one got a clue?
ive tried a quick look on google with no dice.  so any suggestions gratefully received.

one way to toughen plaster is to paint it with polystyrene dissolved in liquid poly cement,  it can be a bit slow, ( and smelly)  but it stops the plaster crumbling on the thinner edges, and means it will take paint like a normal plastic part

Wondering if any one else is still waiting for the package with the sculpting comp figs in?
I admit I was a little enthusiastic in the non winners at around 2/3rd of the choices, but its now over 2 months since I've ordered and im starting to wonder what's happened with it.

yup it does,  how much of a difference between plain door, roll door and that is the cost? ( not a question to answer publicly BTW) but to consider with what you want, a plain roll door, down, wont loose any visual appeal.
