Aaaarrrggghhh! I'm getting ready to move, and can't join the Kickstarter!

There are some incredible models there, and I would love to get one of the big demons... but... moving.... *Whimper*

Note: I have NOT been secretly working on a new dragon, although I have of course planned it out and know what I would want to sculpt. Not going to, unless it's feasible to raise funds for it in plastic. No interest in ending up spending the rest of my life in this windowless unit casting dragons!

IN all seriousness, it depends on what condition whichever set of moulds I'm on by then is in. If I can squeeze a couple more dragons out of them, I will, if not, that's it. Drawing a line under it and moving on to the next stupid bright idea. Ask me again in 156 dragons time.

If people want a dragon, the only way to get one for certain is to make sure you add yourself to the queue before I reach the end of it! ie before Christmas this year, with any luck.
For God's sake, do a Kickstarter for any new dragon before going back into debt on the brute!

Maybe find out how much it cost Reaper to make the mold for their enormous Kaladrax PVC model - Reaper now has their own PVC machine... but I think that both that and the company that they use in China might be busy for a while.

Hell... do the sculpt for Reaper, get paid less, but up front.

The thing is... you will have to sell a lot of dragons to make back your money from a plastics mold.

Heh - speak of the Devil... I just ordered yet another of these excellent ogres, for another commission, along with a halfling and some more gangers (this last is for me).

Might as well make sure that you have some orders waiting for you when you get back. :)

Thanks, 'Grump. Appreciate it very much. Do you mean Nakka the ogre, when you say Nutter?
Nar - Nutter was the name that you used to have on Ogre With Table:

He tends to hang out with my Reiklanders as a mercenary.

I sold one of them to another Mordheim player as a commission.

Gods above and below, I hope that you can at least recoup your losses.  :(

Trying to nudge other folks toward your site - I think that one Necromunda player will likely to order the trench coat gang - he was the one that beat me with the minis that he borrowed from me....

I have also touted Nutter and your troll, where appropriate. (Nutter makes regular appearances in Mordheim.)

So 15th is crystal. 20th is china...

Which anniversary was dragons?

Also. Congrats on the incoming dragon Auld Grump.
So far the Dragon Anniversary has been:
1st (Cang)
2nd (Gauth)
3rd (Kaladrax - the metal one, not the more recent PVC one)
and 4th (Wyrmgear)....

First was the most expensive (Cang), and 4th was the least expensive (Wyrmgear), with Kaladrax and Gauth fitting right into the middle somewhere.

Been away from my computer, been busy with my girlfriend and her family. :)

Then recovering from being busy with my girlfriend and her family. (Work, followed by performing a set for middle school students, followed by watching a planetarium show, followed by dinner... a 22 hour day, followed by collapse. :P )

Then I had to dig around for the e-mails - found the one in GMail.

In regards to the dragon...  :woohoo:

Will the dragon be available on your site, after all the pre-orders are finished? There is a couple that may be interested - they get dragons to mark their anniversaries.

There's light at the end of the tunnel!  :applause:

The Auld Grump

And that light is the glow of the dragon's nostrils warming up to burn you to bits :).
In the deepest of the dungeons,
A huge dragon lies in wait.
With tiny sword in puny hand,
A fool may meet his fate.
And if he proves unlucky,
Then he'll end on dinner plate,
As we adventure on!

Gory, gory dragons chew ya,
If you're lucky, then they stew ya.
If you're nasty then they spew ya!
As we adventure on!

A bit of doggerel I wrote when I was a very young Grump, that my brain has insisted on holding onto ever since....

Ow.

Sounds like you need to get some models out to get cash flowing again.

Maybe another gang, to do battle with the Trench Coat gang? Kickstarter, or something? (Not that I suspect that you are a Delaque sympathizer, or anything....)

(Learning the resin stuff is quite exciting, too. The possibilities are endless. Thinking of plans in my head for how to produce a huge demonic skull dice tower.)
Hopefully you will learn enough useful techniques to make this all worthwhile.

Once done... maybe a Kickstarter for another BIG(ish) project like the dice tower - to make up for lost time in production.

Oh... and you know those Trenchcoat gangers? The person that borrowed them kicked the heck out of my Van Saar while using them in Necromunda. I blame you!  :P (Even if you didn't sculpt them - they are great figures - I think that they inspired his dice.)

The Auld Grump, that it was the first game of Necromunda that I had played in three years had nothing to do with my losing....

*Puts it down*

*Picks up crooked stick with burnt marshmallow*
*Puts it down*

*Picks up pool noodle*
Perfect!

*poke, poke poke....*

The Auld Grump, who has a pool noodle, and is not afraid to use it....

51 is the current number now. 52 will be the next one. I don't know when that will happen as it involves a substantial amount of mould making at one end or the other. More news as I get it.
52? Woo hoo! That's me! :D

Okay, that's silly... I just realized that the topic I had bookmarked was the dragon topic - I had to back out of the right place to post, in ordr to post in the wrong topic.... Oy!

Have you blokes thought of doing a Kickstarter in order to gather the funds for more and bigger molds?

The Auld Grump, after Mantic I have Kickstarters on the brain....

Yep, that's me!

The addie I used here is the one I set up for forums, let me send you one for other purposes....

I had a problem about a decade back where a spammer/spoofer got my real real address, so I made one for my handle on forums.

I have been trying to e-mail you folks for a few months now, with no response.

Is there any progress being made on getting the dragons out the door? Last I heard was on 6 December 2011, with word that my dragon was #52....

Oh ye cods and little fishies! That thing is a Brute!
I am going to be painting the beast up as a present for my girlfriend's mum - as Smaug in a diorama. Congratulations on a masterful Dragon.

The Auld Grump, now let us see if I can get it painted up by Christmas....
